My Top Five Scout Trucks in Snowrunner
Scouts are vehicles in the offroad simulation game Snowrunner
Scouts are good for opening up the map and getting upgrades throughout Snowrunner and here are my top five and why I picked them, as well as two honorable mentions. For me what makes a good vehicle in Snowrunner is three factors; offroad capabilities, utility, and how difficult is it to obtain
5. TuZ Tatarin 420
The Tatarin is great for anywhere with mud or snow and is decent for broken ice in most situations except the lakes of Amur in those cases you want one of the Azov Antarctic or the ZIKZ 605R. This vehicle is incapable of crossing deep rivers because it has no snorkel, it is incapable of pulling most trailers because it has no trailer hitch, it also struggles with going up icy hills because of it's lack of chained tires. It is the most stable scout in Snowrunner thus far, it almost doesn't need the autonomous winch, but it will come in handy in Amur. It can be found in Zimnegorsk, Taymyr, Russian Federation.

4. Yar 87
Perhaps I'm a little biased for putting the Russian scouts in the 4th and 5th place but, I am partial to American trucks as I myself am a Proud American, but I'd be lying if I said that I didn't like the Yar and the Tatarin, having said that, the Yar unlocks at rank 10 and comes stock with 49 inch mud tires and is capable of crossing the Black River right off the bat. It is also great for pulling scout trailers and does so with minimal effort. A few hurdles here and there, one of which is it's stability and it flips very easily. It becomes even more unstable with the roof rack, but if you're willing to brave the storm there's a chest on the island in the distance filled with gold. It also has decent fuel efficiency. Aside from the stability and the fact that it likes to bump it's nose I can think of no downsides

3. Hummer H2
The Hummer is one of those trucks that in several games I just sold for quick cash and never thought about again, but it's better than the Chevrolet CK1500 and the Scout 800 in a sense that it's wider, heavier and has a better power to weight ratio, the only downside with this one I can think of is it's lightweight which messes with the grip, great for scout trailers, great for grabbing upgrades and clearing watch towers. It's also great for discovering new trucks. Please use carefully on Kola Peninsula and Amur as it doesn't handle broken ice very well. And most of it's upgrades can be found in Alaska, as well it too can be found in Alaska in North Port

2. International Loadstar 1700
Where do we start with the Loadstar? Well how about the fact that it can be obtained at rank two as soon as you reach the garage in Black River for the low price of 39,400 all you have to do is sell a few trucks or trailers, and not only that it's one of the only two scouts that can fit the little yellow crane. It is also rather stable and is one of the few scouts capable of crossing the Black River and can equip a snorkel as soon as you purchase it. Please note that it is dependent on the raised suspension upgrade found in Mountain River Alaska, so as long as you don't mind using highway tires to go get it when you first start out, you're in for a treat.

Honorable Mentions
Khan Lo4F
The Khan Lo4F was viewed as the worst scout in the game when Snowrunner was first launched, because for starters, it's tires are very small, and it is very low to the ground, giving it poor offroad capabilities. But the Loaf, (as I like to call it, because it resembles a loaf of bread on tires) has a different use than scouting, it has the strongest winch of most scout and some offroad vehicles, allowing it to almost effortlessly flip another flipped vehicle back onto its wheels! It's differential locking is always on, and it's all-wheel drive is always on as well

Chevrolet CK1500
This it the truck you get right at the beginning, and is a great substitute for the H2 Hummer until you get it unlocked, the issue with the CK1500 is it is very lightweight, but it is easy to obtain, you can get three of these vehicles for free, two in Michigan and one in Belozorsk Asia, it's differential locking is switchable, and it's all wheel drive is switchable as well. Most of the CK1500's upgrades can be found in Michigan, which makes it a great scout for newer players. Another downside is it's stability when you throw on the roofrack, but this isn't really a hurdle so long as you have the autonomous winch

1. Ford F-750
The F-750 is great for traversing even the harshest of terrain, all except broken ice, but not to worry, it is still great for all your scout needs except being small, and this is the largest American scout in the entire game and it can pull light hitch trailers such as the sideboard with ease, but it cannot pull scout trailers, don't let that bother you cause you get over 300 repair points and 100 gallons of fuel, in it's frame addons and even the little yellow crane, aside from the Loadstar this is the only scout capable of using the little yellow crane and it can also utilize a small one slot flatbed. Now as it is a massive beast as you would expect it's not the most fuel efficient, and it is not the most maneuverable of vehicles, but if that's not an issue you'll get the best scout in the entire game as long as you don't mind the painful process of unlocking it and it's upgrades in Kola Peninsula, the F-750 itself can be found in Lake Kovd, Kola Peninsula, Russian Federation
